Claude Fortin
Investment banker
A native of Montreal, Claude Fortin is an investment banker with over 30 years of experience in the mergers and acquisitions sector.
He brings invaluable expertise to his clients thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the business sector and his network of contacts in both North America and Europe. As a strategic advisor with a unique perspective, he assists his clients with mergers and acquisitions.
Previously, he worked as a financial advisor at Desjardins Securities. Deeply involved in the community, he participated in numerous charitable events for organizations such as the Montreal Youth Centre Foundation, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, the Granfondo Garneau Québecor, and the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital Foundation.
Claude Fortin is involved in projects related to the environment and climate change. He notably participated in a cleanup operation of the St. Lawrence River in Montreal.
In 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he served for three months at the CISSS des Laurentides, working with the most vulnerable people. He also volunteered at the Comptoir alimentaire des Laurentides.
Claude Fortin obtained his bachelor's degree in finance and international management from HEC Montréal in 1986 and completed a program in real estate management and development at the Université du Québec à Montréal. In 2014, he graduated with honours from the CSI Canadian Securities Course. He also holds a diploma in wind energy from the Université du Québec à Rimouski.
